'This sculpture was inspired by a moving real life experience McCarthy had in the remote areas of Nevada while working as an geologist obtaining mineral samples. Often he would see wild horses passing by. One day, the herd of horses came running from the bluff overhead and through the canyon, swiftly running by Kevin on every side. It was magical and magnificent... a dream of wild horses!"
